Here at Lucas Lepri Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Knoxville we are fortunate enough to receive world class martial arts instruction from Laban Propst. Mr. Propst has been not only practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) for over 10 years he has also been successfully competing in some of the top tournaments across the world. Recently we were reminded of a great accomplishment our leader had 9 years ago! The Hayastan tournament is one of the hardest tournaments hosted in North Carolina. It allows all submissions in both the Gi and No-Gi regardless of rank. Laban competed in the tournament 9 years ago and won both the Gi Absolute Grand Championship as well as the No-Gi Absolute Grand Championship. These two divisions had no weight limit and allowed anyone from any rank level to compete from white to black belt. On this day Laban defeated all of his opponents by submission and did not allow a single point to be scored on him. He has won 6 absolute championships on the Hayastan circuit.
Mr. Propst has continued to grow and develop over the past nine years and provides world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction in the Knoxville Tennessee and surrounding areas. Some students travel as far as 1.5 hrs one way to train with Laban here at Lucas Lepri Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Knoxville TN so that they can learn the same techniques that have built multiple world champions!!! Mr. Propst teaches 95% of the classes at his academy and is only absent if he is sick or out of town coaching and competing. He teaches the Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Classes as well as the Adult Classes.
