Last night I had the privilege to award Savannah Alonso Barth her black belt! Savannah is our women's only instructor and she does an amazing job with our female students. For many years I wanted a true women's only program ran by a strong female instructor. I am very thankful that Savannah and Chris found Lucas Lepri Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Fitness, Knoxville TN and decided to become a part of our martial arts family! As I got to know Savannah I knew she would be the perfect instructor to put in charge of my dream of having a women's only program. She dealt with several challenges after moving to the area that would cause many people to just give up and quit! Her courage and determination allowed her to overcome those challenges and step back on the mat as our Women's instructor last December! She does an amazing job, upholds the high standard our gym demands, and is a great example to not only our female students but the rest of her teammates as well. I am honored to have her as my first female black belt!
