🥉 Rilyn Places 3rd at the IBJJF Kids No-Gi Pan American Championships
A Breakthrough Performance for One of Alliance Knoxville’s Hardest Workers
On October 19, 2025, Alliance Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Knoxville celebrated a major milestone for one of our young rising stars. Rilyn, a dedicated Junior 3 / Female Grey Belt / Light Feather competitor, earned 3rd place at the IBJJF Kids No-Gi Pan American Championships—one of the toughest and most prestigious tournaments in the world for youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Often called the No-Gi World Championships for kids, this event brings together the most elite young athletes across the country and abroad. For a Knoxville athlete to step onto those mats and dominate at this level is a moment of pride not only for Rilyn, but for our entire Alliance Knoxville family.
🌱 A Student Who Grew Up on the Mats
Rilyn has been training with us since she was five years old. Many of our coaches, students, and families have watched her grow from a small, shy beginner into a confident, technical, and determined young martial artist. Her evolution is a true example of the power of community, consistent training, and the supportive environment at Alliance Knoxville.
She embodies the core values of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu—discipline, respect, resilience, and perseverance. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just steady improvement year after year.
💪 Dominating Her Matches With Skill and Heart
At the 2025 No-Gi Pans, Rilyn fought with incredible technique and composure. She won her matches by points in dominant fashion, showing precise guard passing, strong positional control, and a noticeably elevated competitive mindset.
But what made this performance truly special wasn’t just the jiu jitsu.
It was the mental victory.
Like many young athletes, Rilyn has battled pre-match nerves and confidence issues. This time, she stepped onto the mat with focus, courage, and belief. She proved to herself—and to all of us—that overcoming fear is just as important as scoring points. Her success is a testament to her growth not only as a competitor, but as a person.
❤️ A Win for the Entire Alliance Knoxville Community
At Alliance Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Knoxville, we believe every child can become stronger, more confident, and more capable through jiu jitsu. Rilyn’s achievement represents:
The value of supportive teammates

Moments like this remind us why we train together, push each other, and celebrate each other’s victories.
